Skövde Visit and Sweden Game Conference

The visit aims to explore and study the development and operation modes of Sweden game education, academic research, incubators, and industry, as well as deepen and extend bilateral cooperation in academic exchanges, project cooperation, and student exchanges, in particular, the joint construction of China-Europe Game Evaluation and User Experience Co-Laboratory.
Sweden Game Conference is an important event for Skövde as a game development hotbed, as well as one of the leading European conference for students and game start-ups. Here, students, game developers, gaming companies and researchers come to see what the video games industry has to offer. The focus is mainly on indie game development – video games made by individuals or small teams without any major company behind it. The theme of the 2019 conference is "sustainable development and Games". It focuses on how to balance the needs of the game market and culture and create a dynamic future for relevant workers, researchers and players in different fields, as well as discussing several important issues, including: what opportunities does the game provide for developers in the future, and how does the game meet the needs of emerging technologies in the future? how to design and develop games with sustainable development themes (such as global climate change, environmental issues, peace and justice, social issues, etc.)? how to make the game content, industry and education inclusive for the future game development? how to better apply games to education?
